ARMIN WINKLER
Consultant - North Amarica

Armin Winkler is a native of Germany who has spent the majority of his life working with dogs. He has been training dogs for both civilian and police work since the mid 1970's. He has previously owned and operated his own k-9 security business and trained security dogs for the private sector and instructed on their use and deployment.

Armin has provide consultation and training services to law enforcement and military agencies throughout north america and overseas. He has assisted the Royal Australian Air Force with restructuring their k-9 program and provided seminars for the police and military services in Finland. His training articles have appeared in numerous dog and law enforcement periodicals. He is an internationally known and recognized seminar instructor and lecturer in the field law enforcement k-9 training and deployment teaching at national training seminars.

Armin has a diploma in dog training for law enforcement. He is a certified instructor through the justice institute of British Columbia. He is also a certified law enforcement academy instructor through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.

ROMEO INGRESSO
Consultant - North America

Romeo Ingreso has been a deputy sherrif for a large metropolitan law enforcement agency in the Los Angeles area for 17 years. Romeo has worked such assignments as custody, uniformed patrol, patrol training officer, gang suppression task force member, detective and canine handler. Romeo has handled a patrol dog for the past seven years.

Romeo has been involved in numerous operations involving the use of a police service dog and a swat team.

Romeo's area of expertise is in the field of tactical canine deployments and the training of police service dogs and their handlers. In addition to Romeo's law enforcement experience, he was involved in the dog sport schutzhund for many years. He was and is still recognized as one of the top training and trail helpers in the nation.

His blend of law enforcement and dog sport experience provides Romeo with a unique understanding of the training needs of the modern police service dog and the handling skills required to succesfully deploy in tactical operations.

CLIFF DEUTSCH
Consultant - North America

Cliff Deutsch has been a certified law enforcement canine handler since 1992. As a sergeant of a special operations canine/interdiction unit in southwest florida. Cliff and his assigned canine partners have been nationally recognized and have recieved numerous awards for the seizure of more than $23,000,000,000 of illegal contraband.

Cliff and his canine partners were awarded 'officer of the year' by both their department and the State of Florida. Cliff has been deemed as an expert witness in both federal and state courts in the areas of narcotics canine handling and narcotics identification.

He has instructed around the United States for several organizations including the D.E.A operation 'pipeline' as a canine interdiction officer. Cliff is a certified canine team trainer, judge and evaluator for several nationally recognized canine oranizations and has dedicated his career towards the detection of illegal contrabands and explosives devices.

After retiring from law enforcement Cliff is currently employed by the United States Government and continues instructing throughout the Continental U.S.



Willem Gepken
Consultant - Europe

Willem Gepken is a native of the Netherlands who has spent most of his life working with dogs. He is training dogs KNPV style since 1969. Willem titled 25 dogs with a KNPV certificate with Lof and was a four time competitor at the KNPV National trails in Den Bosch, he also decoyd this trails for four times and in 2007 he gave a demonstration as a decoy during the KNPV National trails at the age of 64.

Willem has provide seminars and demonstrations in North America (Washington - North Carolina - Mississippi - Texas ), Australia, France, Belgium and Schwitzerland.

Willem's area of expertise is in the field of training canines for police work and finding / testing the best dogs available. Willem's speciality is training Belgium Malinois.

Jan van der Tak
Consultant - Europe

Jan van der Tak is also a native of the Netherlands. He is training German Shepherds KNPV style and he is the owner of Gardefense German Shepherds, a kennel specialized in breeding German Shepherds for Law Enforcement.

Jan has a diploma in training dogs for private security and was the master trainer of two private security canine company's before he started K9 Gardefense Working Dogs. Jan is testing all Progressive K-9 Academy dogs that are imported from Europe and let them have a medical examemination, so we are alsways sure to have good solid dogs, with strong nerves and good health.

Jan's area of expertise is in the field finding and training young dogs so they can become policedogs. Jan's speciality is training and breeding German Shepherds for both KNPV and Schutzhund.
